Hangzhou Gas (Group) Co.,Ltd. was founded on August 6, 2001 with the approval of the Municipal Government of Hangzhou. It was merged and restructured from former Hangzhou Pipeline Gas Co.,Ltd. and Hangzhou Gas Co.,Ltd.. The company has a registered capital of 400 million RMB. The total asset of the company reached 1.861 billion RMB with the owners equity over 100 million RMB by the end of December,2009. . There are totally 1016 employees, 879 of whom are on post.
The company has the right of franchise to manage the pipeline gas of Hangzhou. As the owner for construction and operation of utilization projection of natural gas in Hangzhou, it is in charge of sale and after-sale service of high, medium and low pressure natural gas as well as installation of pipelines in main urban districts and Binjiang District of Hangzhou. It is also in charge of delivery and sale of high pressure natural gas in Xiaoshan District, Yuhang District, Lin’an and Fuyang bearing the responsibility for safe supply of natural gas and adjustment during peak of the whole city. Up to December 2009, as for pipeline gas, there are 437386 citizen users, 976 public users and 55 industrial users. Consumption of pipeline gas accumulates to over 800 million cubes.
